FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are you insured for Public Liability?
Yes.
I've heard of The Magic Circle. What is it and are you a member?
I am a member of The Magic Circle - a prestigious society of world class magicians, established in 1905 and with about 1,500 members (as of 2018). Members of The Magic Circle pass a strict application process to test their skills as performers and members have included Tommy Cooper, David Nixon, Michael Vincent, Paul Daniels, Stephen Fry and even HRH Prince Charles!
What are your prices?
My magic show prices are tailored to your event requirements.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes.
I'm looking for a cabaret show. Can you provide?
Yes, of course.
What days and times do you work?
I perform at all times of the day and night. Just let me know what you have in mind.
When should I book you for a magic performance?
Normally about 6 weeks before your event, but you can book my services as far ahead as you like, and sometimes I am able to make last minute bookings if you've been let down.
How many people can you perform for?
There really is no limit to the number of people I can perform my magic to. It's just a case of working out what form of magic show will give you and your guests the most memorable experience.
How far are you willing to travel?
I regularly travel to venues all over the UK, and overseas. Whilst most of my performance is visual, audiences benefit most if they are English speaking.
What are your travel costs?
Complete my enquiry form, tell me your location, and I'll work out the best deal I can including my costs.
Can you provide magic with a theme for my event?
Yes - I'm often asked to build my magic performance to follow a particular theme. Whether it's a Wedding, Halloween, Christmas or New Years Eve party or any other occassion, just let me know via my enquiry form what you're thinking of.
What kind of magic do you perform?
I perform both close-up and stage magic using a wide variety of items, some prepared, some impromtu with whatever objects are to hand like napkins, salt and cutlery. Close-up magic means just that, it's magic that you just won't believe performed right in front of your eyes.
What is the booking process?
Let me know the time, date, location, number of people and nature of your event.
How long can you perform for?
Around 2 or 3 hours is normal, but please don't feel limited by that. I have performed close-up magic for up to five hours, but it's totally dependant on you and how long you require me to perform for. My stage shows last to 45-60 minutes.
How do I know you're a good magician?
Take a moment to review my video channel and the genuine reviews from real clients who have kindly taken the time to write to me.
What types of events do you perform at?
More or less any event within reason...
Do I have to pay a deposit when I book you?
If you book 3-6 months in advance, I take a 25% deposit.
What if I have to cancel your booking?
Very rarely there may be reasons why I have to cancel a booking such as illness or accident.
Can you make my wife disappear?
Ahhhh, the most frequently asked question of all!
How did you do that?
Very well, thank you.
